Every Breath Is a Doorway

I'm Balder, a nomadic breathwork and meditation guide. From ice baths in Scandinavia to pranayama in India, I've gathered practices across 32 countries and 4 continents. Now I share them with you.

Peace and Resilience Through Practice

I didn't come to breathwork and meditation through theory. I found them through lived experience — in the cold, in silence, in the moments that stripped life down to its essentials. When nothing else could steady me, the breath did. In the end, it all comes back to this: one breath at a time — steady, honest, alive.

"Every breath is a chance to return to yourself."

I didn't discover the power of breathwork on a yoga mat. I discovered it in cold water. The first time I tried Wim Hof breathing before stepping into icy water, something shifted. Instead of panicking, my body steadied. My breath deepened. After a minute in the freezing water, my mind went silent and warmth rose from within. I was at peace — even in an extreme situation. It wasn't just about enduring the cold. It was about realizing I could shape my inner state, even when the world outside was harsh.

As a child and teenager, I lived inside football. I was an academy player chasing the dream. But when games slipped out of control, I slipped with them: rage, red cards, regret. No one ever told us how to breathe through it. No one told us the breath could be a way back. I wish someone had taught me sooner.

When I turned 20, injuries ended my football career. With it came an identity crisis. Who was I without the game? That's when I began searching — first for myself, through meditation and breathwork. But each step revealed something bigger.

I also began to see how we live in a culture obsessed with chasing more — more money, more status, more achievement. None of it gave me the peace I found in a single conscious breath. Technology, distraction, and striving had pulled me — like so many of us — away from the present.

In 2023, I was in my dream job, working as a full-time consultant at Peopleway, an AI company. The only problem was my heart was calling me elsewhere. One evening, I wrote on a piece of paper: "Go to Nepal and India with no return ticket. Let go of where it ends. Allow the flow to guide you."

Three months later, I had quit my job, given up my apartment, sold all my furniture, said goodbye to friends and family — and boarded a flight with a one-way ticket to Kathmandu, Nepal.

Since then, the journey has carried me through trekking in the Himalayas, weeks of silence in monasteries in Nepal and Thailand, ashrams in India studying yoga and pranayama. I've lived in an off-grid holistic Bedouin camp in the Egyptian desert, freediving into the depths of the Philippines.

Along the way, my confidence in teaching these practices grew. I began teaching them wherever I was: at a retreat center in Thailand, in a freediving and yoga hub in the Philippines, in gyms, in hostels, in a retreat space in Egypt. Now, after crossing the Atlantic, I find myself teaching in Uruguay.

For me, breathwork and meditation aren't theories. They aren't abstract philosophies. They're lived. They're how I found clarity in chaos, how I steadied myself when nothing else could, how I came back when I thought I was lost.

And that's why I share them.

The work I offer is simple: breathwork and meditation that anyone can do. Practices that calm the nervous system, unlock focus, and reconnect you with the part of yourself that never gets lost.

My story is still being written. I'm still traveling. Still learning. Still breathing my way through the unknown. But one thing has become clear:

Every breath is a doorway. Every breath is a chance to return to yourself.

The Work in Practice

"Training breathwork with Balder has been a game changer for me. The sessions are well structured, varied, and meditative. He is good at keeping it simple and effective.

Some of the sessions have been quite intense, and others very relaxing.

In general, he has taught me to bring breathwork into my everyday life, and the training has deepened my ability to relax and to go deeper into the meditative state."

— Rikke, ongoing 1:1 journey

"Balder stayed with us for a little over a month, and it was hard to see him leave again. His support at our yoga retreat and hostel was incredible.

He held meditation and breathwork sessions, guided day trips to waterfalls and hikes, and brought presence to family dinners and guest activities. Balder has a caring energy and puts his heart into everything he shares.

Highly recommended — if you have the chance to work with him, don't miss it."

— Markus, Retreat Manager

"Balder's breathwork and mindfulness sessions were truly wonderful. The classes were well-structured, with a beautiful flow of techniques that felt seamless.

He created a warm, open, and safe space where I felt comfortable to engage and trust the process. The sessions were powerful in both content and atmosphere.

He explained with care, welcomed questions, and integrated music in a way that deepened the experience. Relaxation, emotional release, and meaningful integration followed."

— Charlotte, group session participant

"I met Balder on Koh Phangan, where he offered breathwork and meditation at the hostel I stayed in. I hadn't planned to dive into breathwork, but his inspiring sessions kept drawing me back. He guides with patience and clarity, and his genuine passion shines through. I'm deeply grateful for the kindness and motivation he brings to his practice."

Connect on Web3

Breathwork teaches us presence and direct connection. Web3 carries that same spirit online — where we can meet without filters, noise, or middlemen.

For me, Web3 isn't about chasing trends or technology for its own sake. It's about alignment. Breathwork is a practice of sovereignty — choosing your state, moment by moment, without needing permission or validation from outside. Web3 reflects that same principle in the digital world. It allows us to connect directly, support one another peer-to-peer, and create community spaces that aren't controlled by big platforms or algorithms.

By integrating Web3, I keep this work independent and true to its spirit: simple, human, and accessible.

Whether that looks like sharing through decentralized platforms, receiving support directly, or exploring new ways of gathering online, Web3 is just another way to breathe together — without middlemen in between.

I also accept crypto (BTC, ETH, SOL, USDC, USDT). Just mention it when you book, and I'll send you the details.
